The Shipping of Hazardous Materials Policy establishes requirements for shipping hazardous materials in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations. It defines classification, marking, description, labeling, and packaging requirements and outlines that only certified DOT shippers trained under DOT 49 CFR 172, Subpart H may offer hazardous materials for shipment.
